2021 Familia Christmas Coordination
Magof Nochebuena & Merrrryyy Christmas!! We are doing things a little different this year. There will be three types of gifts you’ll need to get. Here’s what you need to know…
Gift(s) Number One: Elfster Gift Exchange
We will all draw one name and that person will be the only one you need to shop for. The price limit for this is $100.
We’ll do all this via Elfster. What you need to do:
- Go to our Elfster Gift Exchange page.
- Under “Would you like to participate?”, click “Yes”.
- Create an Elfster account OR log into your account if you already have one.
- As soon as possible, add items to your Wishlist so your “Elf” knows what to get you!
- Anna will have Elfster draw names for everyone.
- Once all names have been drawn, Elfster will send you an email with your recipient.
- Get to shopping! Also, take a peek at their Elfster wishlist for some ideas.
- Bring your gift to our Christmas celebration to exchange.
Gift(s) Number Two: White Elephant
Choose another gift, separate from the one above, that could be for anyone in the group. Feel free to get creative!
This will be part of our White Elephant Gift Exchange. Limit is $50.

Gift(s) Number Three: Donation
We are gathering items to donate to two charities:
1) Babies of Homelessness: Our goal is to shed light on the most vulnerable: babies and children. Babies of Homelessness is a 501(3)c nonprofit, cutting through accessibility barriers, and providing diapers and basics (wipes and formula), free of charge, to partner agencies and families facing homelessness in urban, rural and underserved communities. We are committed to serving all children experiencing homelessness—regardless of who they are, where they live, or socioeconomic class—have their immediate needs met, free of charge.

2) Housing Hope: Housing Hope, founded in 1987, recognizes that safe, secure and affordable housing is only the first step in solving poverty for struggling families. The innovative concept to provide a full range of housing with housing-related support services is a hallmark of the Housing Hope mission. Housing Hope combines affordable housing with tailored services such as life-skills training, childcare, case management, and employment services. Housing Hope also offers homeownership opportunities for low-income individuals of Snohomish County and Camano Island.
Holiday Giving – Welcome Baskets: Make a welcome basket for families when they move into the emergency shelter, or provide gifts for a low-income adult, many with disabilities. Most of Housing Hope’s residents do not have the basic supplies needed for their family and children when first moving into our housing. We hope to offer our residents items that can be used all year long.
